Em direção à midiateca

Resumo: O artigo aborda a natureza da midiateca como a biblioteca do século xxi. a midiatização - passagem da biblioteca para a classe das midiatecas - compreende três níveis básicos de infra-estrutura: mega, meta e médio. o computador é a base da infra-estrutura criada, permitindo a qualquer usuário (leitor, bibliotecário, administrador) o acesso à metainformação de qualquer biblioteca do mundo. na urss, para alcançar os objetivos da midiateca, foram criados os centros informativos técnico-científicos, que representam os centros geradores e os centros retransmissores de megainformação (informação sobre a informação). são descritas as etapas seguidas no processo de midiatização da biblioteca pública estatal científica e técnica (bpect), na urss, uma biblioteca de grande porte, académica e regional, que alcançou alto nível de computarização no início dos anos 90.palavras-chavemidiateca. midiatização. megainformação. metainformação.towards the midiathecaabstractthe article approachs the nature of the midiatheca as the library of the xxi century. tho midiatisation- the change from the recent library to the class of the midiatheca - includes three basic leveis of substructure: mega, meta and médium. the computer is the basis of the substructure created, allowing to any user (reader, librarian and manager) the rapid access to the metainformation of any world-wide library. in the urss, they created scientifíc and technical informativo centers in order to reach the aims of the midiatheca, wich represents producer centers and retransmissioner centers of megainformation (information about information). all the steps fbllowed in the process of midiatisation of the scientifíc and technical public state library (stpsl), in urss, a huge one, academic and regional public library which have reached a high levei of computarisation in the beginning of the 90´ are described.keywordslibrary computarisation. megainformation. metainformation.
