Abstract: The differences between technique, technology and technological object are indicated. The ideas of some thinkers on technology philosophy are reviewed. It is concluded that the relation between information and communication technologies (ICTs) and axiology is basically a problem of interpretation and construction of a vision of the world, since technology is endowed with value and sense. There are two possible interpretations of technology: that the subject gives his being to technologies, so technologization of the human being arises; or that the subject consciously includes technology in his existential project, so humanization of technology occurs. In the latter case it is possible to understand ICTs as an instrument for developing the human being or as an instrument for subjugating the human being. The ideas of that approach are used to develop the notion of McLuhan about the global village
